Purpose

This course has been designed to meet the requirements of STCW section B-V/b and B-V/c and is based on the guidelines of the IMDG Code and IMO Model Course 1.10.
Course is intended for shipboard personnel responsible for cargo handling of packaged dangerous, hazardous and harmful cargoes aboard ships.

Objectives

After successful completion of the course the trainees will be able to understand the important physical characteristics and chemical properties of dangerous and hazardous substances, classification of dangerous and hazardous substances and materials possessing chemical hazards including IMDG dangerous goods classes 1-9 and the hazards associated with each class.

Evaluation

All participants have to complete a questionnaire in order to obtain the certificate.

Certification – Diploma

All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate with three years validity in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 45001-2018 requirements.
