HERTM (Helideck Emergency Response Team Member) – Training Course ONLINE

Purpose

Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) Training programme is needed to equip offshore helideck emergency response personnel with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to perform an emergency response team member in any offshore helideck and helicopter emergencies. To be able to follow HLO commands and perform safely in given emergency situation. This training course is designed to be only in line with OPITO.

Content

The course will cover the following topics:
Emergency helideck team member role and responsibilities
Response plan and helideck emergency system
Types of helideck emergencies on installations
HLO and team members communication & response
Firefighting ops
NUI emergency response
Search and rescue ops
Fatality / casualty handling

Objectives

The main objectives are for participants to fully understand the role and responsibilities of a Helideck Emergency Response Team Member and respond accordingly to a variety of helideck firefighting and other emergency scenarios: search and rescue, NUI emergencies etc.

Evaluation

All participants have to complete a questionnaire and pass series of emergency scenarios in order to obtain the certificate.

Certification – Diploma

All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive certificate with two years validity in line with Offshore International Industries guidelines. This Training follows international standards of quality and meets the ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
